Happy Trailwalkers

Oxfam Trailwalker

We're were absolutely thrilled host Oxfam Trailwalker in Whakatāne, the event is part of an international fundraising series with 17 events being held in 11 countries. The Oxfam Trailwalker challenges teams of four people to walk the 100 km or 50 km course in 36 hours or less and raise funds to fight poverty in the Pacific and Southeast Asia.

Thank you to everyone that came to Whakatāne for this fantastic event. Oxfam Trailwalker is now hosted in Taranaki - support this amazing cause by Challenging Yourself and Challenging Poverty.

One of Whakatāne's iconic annual events this is a multi-terrain 18km loop on the beautiful coastal Nga Tapuwae o Toi track, Ōhope beach and native bush trails.

A gruelling (and socially fun!) 8-kilometer run or walk, taking in the sights and surrounds of the mighty Omataroa as you start at Lake Matahina, ending at Tuariki Marae.

Highlights from our Oxfam Trailwalker events!

We hosted the Oxfam Team, volunteers, thousands of trailwalkers and their support crews for four years from 2016 through to 2019. Unfortunately, the 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19.
