Pikowai Camping Ground

This beachfront camping ground between Whakatāne and Tauranga is a wonderful spot to enjoy swimming and beach fishing. The camp ground is right on the beach and sheltered from southerly winds by pohutukawa-clad white cliffs. There are two toilet blocks with showers. Please be sure to conserve water wherever possible. Dogs on leads at all times. All rubbish must be removed from the camp ground and taken with you.

Tariff is $26/site (up to 2 adults and 2 children under 15 yrs) and $7.20/night each extra adult, $3.10/night each extra child. Maximum stay 14 consecutive days in a calendar month.

Paying for your stay

Payment online does not reserve a campsite. Campsites are available on a first come, first serve basis. It is the responsibility of the person making the online payment to check that the payment confirmation is received.

Pikowai Camp Ground is cashless, and any campsites must be paid for online using the below form or by paying at the Whakatāne District Council's Customer Service Counter, 14 Commerce Street, Whakatāne.
