An evening of live music from two local high school bands playing a mix of alt-rock, grunge, and classic rock covers.

 Why The Face
“We are Why The Face, a growing band of year 11-12s. We are a conjunction of alternative-indie-rock. As a group, we enjoy a wide range of music from Pearl Jam to Arctic Monkeys, as well as 80s-90s favourites. We are extremely passionate about performing, gaining experience, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for like-minded people to enjoy some music.”

 437 (Four Thirty Seven)
“We are 437 (Four Thirty Seven), a small local four-man band from Whakatane. We enjoy grunge music, especially bands like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and the Foo Fighters. We are just 4 mates, having fun 30 days a month, 7 days a week.”
