Kid’s Kiwi Tracker Walk

Kid’s Kiwi Tracker Walk

Too late, you missed it
Too late, you missed it

We will commence our walk at Burma Road, making our way into the bush en route to our education whare. Throughout the walk, you'll gain insights into our local kiwi population, their predators, and the methods we employ to monitor and trap these pests.

Upon reaching the whare we will have lunch and engage in some fun activities including the compass challenge, invertebrate investigation and bird identification before heading back to Burma Road marking the end of the walk.

This will be an interactive and fun three-hour session aimed at individuals aged 10+ (the presence of an accompanying adult is recommended but optional)

Please bring a drink bottle, snacks, sunscreen and a camera. Please wear appropriate clothing, a raincoat (if appropriate), and sturdy, closed-in shoes (no jandals!). Whilst the Trust team will have first aid kits, please bring any personal medication you may require (e.g. asthma inhalers).

A moderate level of fitness is required for this walk, as the trail consists of short uphills/ downhill slopes and tree roots and steps.

Please meet at the end of Burma Road to begin the walk.

Spaces are limited.
