River Edge Park is a fun, diverse and detailed riverside park, adjacent to the Warren Cole walkway.

It provides recreation facilities of significance to the whole district including Tracks skatepark, the Ocean Playground, the amphitheatre and Model Engineers' Railway.

Te Papaka pa is rich in Ngāti Awa history. From the summit, a magnificent panorama landward and seaward avails. Nowadays the site is no longer inhabited but is open to sightseers.
