Wairaka Centennial Park

Venture off the beaten path and into the whimsical realm of Maggie's Funtastic Garden near Edgecumbe, where artist and sculptor Maggie Fenton has created two acres of themed gardens that will delight kids.

This mural is a collaboration with Ushy Ushy from the Cook Islands and is about the migration of the waka from the Cook Islands to the Bay of Plenty, and keeping the connection alive between all of us. 

The centre hosts the Horizon Energy Group Library, the Whakatāne District Museum display and three gallery spaces.

Internationally-acclaimed for his fly fishing expertise of 27 years, operates from Murupara.

Pacific Coast Adventures offers half or full day inshore fishing charters as well as land based educational activities for groups.

Great fun for the little ones. Trains generally run on Sundays from 10 am - until 3 pm, weather permitting.

A collaboration between Owen Dippie and Tame Iti this mural is titled 'Te Tira Hou' the New Generation.
