eBikes, eScooters, SUP (Stand-up paddleboards) and yummy coffee are on the menu at Wharfside Ōhope every day.

Wharfside, the pop-up activity hub for locals and visitors alike, is back for the summer of 2023/2024 and autumn 2024. On site is VMAC Rides and SUP Ōhope giving people the chance to explore Ōhope and Ōhiwa Harbour by land and sea.

Also on site, you can visit the famous Fishermans Wharf for dinner and hire a kayak to explore with KG Kayaks.

This summer, visit the isite Visitor Information Centre desk, who can assist you with District-wide information and to book activities, Tio Ōhiwa will be available to book you on their newly launched cruise and shuck tour at Ōhiwa Harbour.

From 27 December to Saturday 3 February, join us in summer for music, entertainment, food trucks and Mata beer tasty beverages, from midday.

Sail from the Whakatāne Harbour on Centaurus, a spacious, 38-foot cruising catamaran.

Fishing out of Whakatāne to White Island, down to Waihau Bay and the Ranfurly Bank, we offer all different styles of fishing targeting everything from trout to marlin.
