Meet Alison and Shayne from Beachpoint Apartments!

A bit about Beachpoint Apartments and what's on offer:

Location, location, location.

Fully self-contained apartments with stunning ocean views situated on Ōhope Beach – voted NZ Favourite beach 3 years running. Sit on the deck with a hot mug of coffee and watch the sun rise over the East Cape.

Borrow our body boards for the ocean or swim in our 20 metre pool (heated year round to 28 degrees). With a small gym, library with books, board games and magazines also onsite you may not want to leave the premises.

Local cafes and boutique shops and galleries a 2 minute walk. For those more active golf, kayaking, cycle and walkways are right on your doorstep. Even when we are busy we seem tranquil – the perfect spot to unwind.

What do you love most about the Whakatane District?

The outdoor activities on and off the water. Nature and wildlife – we have seals and orca whales visit and we have the biggest wild kiwi population right on our doorstep.  A wide range of cafes and restaurants in Ōhope and just over the hill in Whakatāne.

Top tip for visitors to our rohe / district.

The lookout points at Kohi Point for that insta shot and a walk down to secluded Otarawaiwere – voted best ‘hidden gem’ beach. Or a night walk across the road to spot the glow worms and the ever so elusive kiwi... Check out the Whakatane Kiwi Trust guided walks too.
