The western end of Ōhope Beach - commonly just called West End - is the most popular part of the beach.

This sculpture, commissioned by the Molly Morpeth Canaday Trust and crafted by Jonathon Campbell in 2007, honors the renowned New Zealand author Margaret Mahy.

This picturesque, well-groomed 18-hole course is on flat, easy walking land and is adjacent to the Tarawera River with mountain views and bird life adding to the enjoyment for players. 

Moko the Dolphin captured the hearts of many across the Eastern Bay, leaving a lasting legacy immortalised in this sculpture.

Your four-hour adventure with us includes a marine eco-tour circumnavigating Moutohora (Whale) Island followed by a scenic walk.

Not as well known as the other courses in our District, the Te Teko golf course provides a relaxing atmosphere ideal for the casual golfer and groups. 

The “Weeboy”10-metre Rodger Hill twin hull offers casual inshore trips in a 10-mile radius from Whakatāne.

Great fun for the little ones. Trains generally run on Sundays from 10 am - until 3 pm, weather permitting.
