White Island/Whakaari Experience Room

The Whakaari/White Island Experience room provides a stunning up-close and informative experience of this geothermal wonder.

Located at the Whakatane isite Visitor Information Centre the room features an amazing, steam-emitting scale model; a superb documentary video; and a series of interpretation panels explaining the fascinating geology, history and cultural significance of the island.
