Vast, rugged and bountiful - the Eastern Bay is home to the abundant Mōtū, Whirinaki te Pua a Tāne and Te Urewera hunting grounds. Red deer, wild pigs, possums, goats and ducks are all ripe for the picking if you have the inclination.
