In 2024, tourism contributed $72.3 million to the local economy, representing 3% of the district’s GDP, and supported around 1,200 jobs - a 13.8% increase from previous years (Infometrics, 2024). Visitors spent approximately $164.7 million, with 85% from domestic travellers and 15% from international visitors (Infometrics, 2024).
