Anzac Day is a central marker of our nationhood. The Dawn service is an important occasion and an opportunity to remember those who have served in the armed forces and fought for the freedom of this country.

  • 5 am: assemble at Whakatāne Fishing Club 
  • 5:45 am: March on
  • 6 am: Service starts

Breakfast provided following service for the community.

Civic Ceremony: Whakatāne War Memorial Hall

  • 9:45 am: assemble at hall
  • 9:55 am: March on
  • 10 am: Service starts

Lunch provided at RSA from 12:15 pm for community
